This policy explains what personal data we collect through recovertax.com, why, and what rights you have. We keep it short and only collect what we need.

Who is responsible for your data

What we collect and why

When you send us an enquiry

The contact form asks for your name, email address, optionally your company and the topic, and your message. We use this only to answer your enquiry and, if you wish, to prepare an offer.

  • Legal basis: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in replying to messages (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b) and (f)).
  • Retention: only as long as needed to answer your enquiry and any follow-up, after which it is deleted, unless you become a client. Client files are kept for the periods required by Bulgarian accounting and tax law.

We do not use enquiries for marketing and we never sell personal data.

If you click “Accept analytics” in the cookie banner, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site (for example which pages are read most). Google Analytics sets cookies and processes your IP address and device information. Advertising features are switched off.

  • Legal basis: your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)). You can withdraw it at any time with the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page.
  • Provider: Google Ireland Limited. Data may be transferred to Google LLC in the United States under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

If you do not accept, Google Analytics is never loaded.

Server logs

Our hosting provider, Hostinger, records technical data for each request (IP address, date and time, page requested, browser type) to keep the site secure and working.

  • Legal basis: our legitimate interest in operating a secure website (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
  • Retention: for a limited period set by the hosting provider, after which the logs are deleted automatically.

Who receives your data

Only our own staff, and service providers who process data on our behalf under a contract: our hosting provider (Hostinger), our email provider, and, only if you consent, Google for analytics.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time for access to your data, correction, deletion, restriction of processing or a copy in a portable format, and you can object to processing based on legitimate interest. Write to hello@recovertax.com.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Bulgarian supervisory authority, the Commission for Personal Data Protection (www.cpdp.bg).
